(corbisimages.com) Corbis has announced it is adding US-based press agency Zuma press to its offering strengthening the companies editorial/news offering.

Corbis Images (www.corbisimages.com), a leading visual media provider for the creative community, today announced that it is now representing images from ZUMA Press (http://www.zumapress.com), the world’s largest independent press agency and wire services capturing news and documentary images.

The agreement currently makes over 280,000 ZUMA Press images available through Corbis Images and will include current and archival news, sports and entertainment photography. Founded in 1992 by photojournalist Scott Mc Kiernan, ZUMA is headquartered in San Clemente, California, with major bureaus in Hollywood, London, Washington, D.C., New York and most recently Tokyo, as well as other locations worldwide.

ZUMA represents work of more than 3,000 photographers and hundreds of contributing newspapers around the world, with a global focus on current issues and events. Its photojournalists and editors have won numerous awards, including the Pulitzer, World Press, BOP and POYi.
